Chris comes to us having previously being the Director of Operations for the
32,000 membership based Saskatchewan Soccer Association as well as the
Director of Operations for their Premier Soccer League.
His academic
background credentials include Diplomas in Finance & Investment,
Journalism and Business Management as well as completing the
requirements as a Chartered Financial Planner (CFP). Chris' volunteer
activities since 1982 include supporting more than 20 organizations as
chairman, committee member or volunteer, most notably in support of the
Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Terry Fox Run and the BC Children's Hospital
Foundation.
He has played for 35
years in the youth an adult club levels including at the premier league
amateur level in British Columbia and the high school programs.
Chris' coaching experience spans
25 years at the grassroots and competitive
levels for players age 6 to adult men and most recently, includes coaching the
Saskatchewan U16 Boys All-Star
Team to the medal round at the Canadian All-Star National Championships.
Chris holds a
Canadian Soccer Association Pre-B coaches license and is
currently working through Level 4 of the National Coaching Certification Program
(NCCP) in Canada. He also has earned an additional 16 certificates
in sports related applications including coaching, fitness and conditioning,
administration and sports science.
Chris brings with him his wife Andrea and their two young daughters Paige
and Sophie.
